Choosing a Word of the Year instead of making New Years resolutions is something I’ve done for the last 10 years. It apparently takes people an average of 32 days to break their resolutions (and mine were often forgotten long before that!) For me, resolutions were restrictive and prescriptive, usually depriving myself of something or telling myself how I used to be was ‘wrong’.

A Word of the Year (WOTY) to me is much more positive. It’s about awareness, keeping your eyes open to where you can apply your word in your life, every day. Which is why the sweatshirts and hoodies make such sense. Every time you reach for it in the wardrobe, every time you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror when you’re wearing it or someone comments on it, there’s a little reminder of your word. Your word that inspires you, lifts you up, makes you feel brave, determined, proud or reminds you what you really want to focus on. Gently guiding you towards what really matters to you.

All of this years WOTY designs include a botanical design to represent the growth you’ll see in yourself and your life over the course of the year when you implement your Word.

At the bottom of the design is Latin text which reads, “ANNI VOX : INTENTE ELECTUM” Which translates to - WORD OF THE YEAR : CHOSEN WITH INTENTION

As well as your word printed on the front with ESTD 2026 above, there are two hidden, encouraging messages printed on the sleeves. “Creating an intentional life” is printed on the left. A reminder to honour the intentions you set for yourself with your word. And “One day at a time” on the right sleeve. Encouraging you to to take a small action each day. Small step lead to a gret journey over the course of a year. This is your year to achieve what you set out to do.

ABOUT THE SWEATSHIRT:

The Nude, Heather Grey, Mustard & Ginger tops have a brown print. All others have a beige print.

Because your word is so personal to you, this year I’ve DOUBLED the amount of colours I’m offering. There are now 18 different sweatshirt colours so you can pick something that’s really you. We all feel great when we wear our favourite colours and I want you to feel great when you wear and embody your word all year.

The sweatshirt itself is a crew neck in a medium weight material that inside is a soft, brushed fleece fabric. It has slightly elasticated, ribbed cuffs, neck and waistband.

It is made from 80% cotton & 20% polyester. It’s PETA approved vegan and made from Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 Certified fabric which means it is free of any harmful substances or chemicals and made using environmentally friendly production methods. Printed with VEGANOK certified print which is 100% vegan and free of any animal derived colours, dyes or adhesives.

SIZING:
• The sweatshirt is unisex and slightly oversized for a slouchy, relaxed fit.
• Please use the measurements of the sweatshirt to decide which size to order. I suggest comparing to a top you already own to best gauge the size.
