Personalised with a gold print, up to 30 character, and a thin gold border. (The gold lettering actually has a very thin black shadow to make it stand out from the cork background).

Fringing cut into the end of the bookmark is reminiscent of the bookmarks I can remember having as a child. (Anyone remember the mobile library turning up as school?!)

The bookmark is double sided so there is finished cork on both sides. The back is left black with no print.

Cork leather is made by shaving the bark from a cork oak tree. This is done without harming the tree as it isn’t felled and the outer bark grows back. Some research shows that harvesting in this way even extends the life of the tree. Once the bark is harvested it’s laid out to dry for 6 months, then it’s boiled in water, flattened. No chemicals are used to make cork leather and it is of course vegan.

Cork leather is a natural material so the texture and patterning on each book mark will vary slightly from the images shown.
