Workshop Details

Date: Wednesday 2nd December 2026

Time: 6:30pm - 8:15pm approx (please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop starts)

Venue: Ye Olde Bridge Inn (10 minute drive from Southwell)

Address: Nottingham Rd, Oxton, Southwell, NG25 0SE

Parking: Free onsite parking is available.

Accessibility: The workshop is in The Stables event space which is wheel chair friendly throughout with accessible toilet facilities.

Refreshments: Drinks & food available for purchase at the venue. I’d advise arriving early if you want food so you can eat in the main pub area before the workshop starts.

Whether you come on your own, with a friend or in a group, you'll spend a relaxing couple of hours creating something beautiful.

No experience is needed, I'll guide you through every step, and there's no pressure to be "crafty". This workshop is all about enjoying the process, taking time for yourself and connecting with others over a shared creative experience.

• Your own ready made gingerbread house kit

• Icing to assemble and decorate your house

• A selection of edible Christmas decorations

• All the supplies you need for decorating

• A box to safely take your finished house home

DIETARY INFO

The edible elements used for this workshop are all dairy free, egg free, nut free, vegan… and delicious!

However, the gingerbread may contain traces of nuts, so unfortunately this workshop is not suitable for anyone with a nut allergy.

Is this workshop for me?

Absolutely, if you:

• Love Christmas and want to get into the festive spirit

• Want to make something creative without needing any previous experience

• Have tried making gingerbread houses before but not had any success! (The secret is the icing recipe) 😉❄️

• Want a creative evening and a pretty decoration that will last until Christmas Day (but I bet you can’t wait that long to eat it!)

• Christmas jumpers optional but encouraged!

You can come on your own, bring a friend or make it an evening out with a group. Many guests come on their own. You’ll be made to feel very welcome.

Age

This workshop is suitable for ages 16+.

Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

What should I bring?

Just yourself! Everything you need will be provided.

You may wish to wear something you don’t mind getting a little icing on, or bring an apron to wear.

Important Information

Please arrive around 10 minutes before the workshop starts so everyone can begin together.

Unfortunately, late arrivals may miss part of the introduction and I may not be able to repeat demonstrations once the workshop is underway.

Cancellation Policy

Tickets are non-refundable.

If you can no longer attend, please let me know as soon as possible.

If you give at least 7 days' notice before the workshop, you may transfer your booking to another available Gathervale workshop (subject to availability). Transfers can only be made once per booking.

Unfortunately I cannot offer transfers or refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of the workshop, as materials will already have been purchased and your place reserved.

If I need to cancel or postpone a workshop for any reason, you'll be offered either:

• A full refund, or

• The option to transfer your booking to another date.

• You are responsible for informing me of any accessibility requirements before the workshop.

• Crafts involves small components and basic hand tools. Please follow all safety instructions during the session.

• I may take photographs and videos during workshops for use on the Gathervale website and social media. If you'd prefer not to appear in the media, simply let me know when you arrive.

• Workshop content and materials may vary slightly from photographs depending on seasonal availability and supplier stock, but will always be of an equivalent quality and style.
