Paint a beautiful cushion for your home while enjoying an evening of creativity.
Spend a lovely evening making something you’ll genuinely want to display and use.
You’ll transform a plain cushion cover into a beautiful piece of home décor, choosing from a selection of timeless designs. If you’re already feeling festive, there’ll be a couple of Christmas designs to choose from as well!
Workshop Details
Date: Monday 2nd November 2026
Time: 6:30pm - 8:15pm approx (please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop starts)
Venue: The Botanist
Address: 40 Bridgford Rd, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 6AP
Parking: Bridgford Road Car Park (2 min walk). Parking is payable by card/contactless or via RingGo and is currently £4 for up to 3 hours. There are also other car parks and on-street parking nearby.
Public Transport: Trent Barton's Mainline runs regularly from Friar Lane to West Bridgford, with Central Avenue just a short walk from The Botanist. NCT Green Line buses also run from Nottingham city centre. Please check the latest timetable for your return journey.
Accessibility: The venue is wheelchair-user friendly, including entrances, exits and bathroom facilities. The tables that we’ll be working at have bench seating which can be removed to seat a wheelchair at the table instead if needed.
Refreshments: Drinks & delicious food are available for purchase at the venue including Happy Hour from 4pm - 7pm. I’d advise arriving early if you want food so you can eat before the workshop starts. View food and drink menus here.
Whether you come on your own, with a friend or in a group, you'll spend a relaxing couple of hours creating something beautiful.
No experience is needed, I'll guide you through every step, and there's no pressure to be "crafty". This workshop is all about enjoying the process, taking time for yourself and connecting with others over a shared creative experience.

You can come along on your own, bring a friend or make it an evening out with a group. Many guests come on their own. You’ll be made to feel very welcome.
Age
This workshop is suitable for ages 16+.
Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
What should I bring?
Just yourself! Everything you need to paint your cushion will be provided.
You may wish to wear something you don't mind getting a little paint on, or bring an apron to wear.
Important Information
Please arrive around 10 minutes before the workshop starts so everyone can begin together.
Unfortunately, late arrivals may miss part of the introduction and I may not be able to repeat demonstrations once the workshop is underway.
Cancellation Policy
Tickets are non-refundable.
If you can no longer attend, please let me know as soon as possible.
If you give at least 7 days' notice before the workshop, you may transfer your booking to another available Gathervale workshop (subject to availability). Transfers can only be made once per booking.
Unfortunately I cannot offer transfers or refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of the workshop, as materials will already have been purchased and your place reserved.
If I need to cancel or postpone a workshop for any reason, you'll be offered either:
A full refund, or
The option to transfer your booking to another date.

Jewellery-making involves small components and basic hand tools. Please follow all safety instructions during the session.
I may take photographs and videos during workshops for use on the Gathervale website and social media. If you'd prefer not to appear in the media, simply let me know when you arrive.
Workshop content and materials may vary slightly from photographs depending on seasonal availability and supplier stock, but will always be of an equivalent quality and style.
